Overview

Imagine a world where you had a place to call home, complete with a community of friends, in every major city across the country. We're powering a new approach to community housing - private rooms in shared living spaces which are convenient, affordable, and are purposely designed to support openness and friendship.

We are a small and rapidly expanding start up in the co-living space. Over the past 2 years alone, our community has grown from nothing to over 400 members in 26 cities (and 2 regions). Pushed by excessive demand, this is just the beginning and we will be expanding to multiple cities soon.

We're looking for folks to join our team who are scrappy, care about community, and who are adaptable enough to keep up with the quick pace of our startup. You'll have the opportunity to wear many hats, directly impact the bottom line, and be part of a fun, amazing team while building something that matters.

Responsibilities

The Head of Marketing will be the person driving the growth for our company, and will own member acquisition for HubHaus. You'll be exploring and developing our various channels, tightening our demand side funnel and pipeline in the Bay Area, and will help compile and share best practices with our regions.

  • Acquire new members for HubHaus properties in SFBA and new markets
  • Use a mix of free and paid channels to drive member acquisition
  • Work with our SF Member acquisition lead for now, transition to build a best practices team as we grow
  • Work closely with our New Markets team to develop the "best practices" on demand side that we can use nationwide

Experience

The right candidate for this role is likely coming from a successful multi-year run as a growth or performance marketing leader at successful tech startup. They should feel comfortable with iterative testing to drive up membership. Requirements include:

  • 6+ years marketing experience
  • 2+ years experience acquiring consumers for a web, mobile or related business
  • Demonstrated experience driving and evaluating leads via SEO, SEM and social ads
  • 2+ years experience managing people & teams
  • Knowledge of community building and community management
  • Mix of startup and large company experience desired
